1. Is LifeChurch a part of another group, or denomination?

Yes. LifeChurch is a member congregation of a movement known as Church of God (with headquarters in Cleveland, Tennessee).

2. Are ministries available for all ages?

Yes. Age-appropriate ministries are offered for all ages at LifeChurch. During the services and classes, nursery is offered for very small children. Children's Church takes place during the Sunday Morning Worship Service. On Wednesday nights (at 7:00 p.m.), classes for all children are offered.

3. Does LifeChurch have a Christian School during the week?

Yes. LifeChurch sponsors Life Academy, which holds classes in the church facilities during regular school hours. With a student body of 154, Life Academy students range in age from pre-school to tenth grade. Plans are now in progress to add 11th and 12th grades in the future.

4. What is the doctrine of LifeChurch?

LifeChurch is an evangelical, trinitarian, Pentecostal/Charismatic congregation. A more complete doctrinal booklet is available for free through the church office.

5. What are worship services like at LifeChurch?

The service at LifeChurch is a spirited, enthusiastic worship experience. Our worship in music includes a worship team of singers, keyboardist(s), guitars, drums and, at times, special instruments. A typical worship service will include congregational singing, special music, participation by congregation members (including hand-clapping) and vocal rejoicing.

6. What does a Pentecostal (or, Charismatic) congregation believe?

Pentecostals and Charismatics are evangelical in their faith, that is, they believe that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is to be preached and followed. They also believe in the continuance of the Spiritual Gifts (as listed in Scripture). The gifts are encouraged in the worship service and throughout the weekly experience of the church members and friends.

8. How long has LifeChurch existed?

The congregation (formerly known as Bloomington Church of God) has been in fellowship for about thirty years.

9. Are there other "sister-churches" from the Church of God in the Minneapolis area?

10. How is the church governed?

LifeChurch has a full-time pastor and several part-time ministers who coordinate the various ministries of the church. The church has an elders' team who offer pastoral and ministerial leadership. The church also has a deacons' team which has responsibility for the physical and financial needs of the church. The elders and deacons are reviewed and approved by the church every two years.
