I. Physical death is: the cessation of all vital body functions, including heartbeat, brain activity and breathing.

By contrast, physical life is the beginning, or continuation of body functions, including heartbeat, brain activity and breathing.

II. Where Does the Church Get It’s Life

Volunteers?

Deacons? Committees?

New, or “Fresh” Ideas?

Younger Leadership?

Better Music?

III. Jesus is the Life of the Church! 

1. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2. He was with God in the beginning. 3. Through him all things were made; without him, nothing was made that had been made. 4. In him was life, and that life was the light of men.    - John 1:1-4 (NIV

“I am come that you might have life and have it more abundantly.” -Jesus Christ  In John 10:10

“For me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.”  -The Apostle Paul    Phillipians 1:21 

Action Steps:

1.Check your vital signs.

2.Test your vital signs against the Word of God.

3.Let the Holy Spirit evaluate your vital signs.

4.Ask godly friends to check your vital signs.

5.Start appreciating the life you have in Christ. 

6.Stop doing spiritually deadly things!
