Pastor Dennis Whitter
After college and seminary graduation, Pastor Dennis Whitter entered vocational ministry in 1979. He has served Jesus Christ and the church as pastor and educator in Florida, Missouri, Virginia and Minnesota. He completed the Doctor of Ministry degree program at the Church of God Theological Seminary in April of 2009. Married thirty-three years, Pastor Whitter and Carolyn have three adult children and one granddaughter.

Associate Pastor John Campbell
After playing in the National Football League for 8 years, John joined LifeChurch, working in men's ministries, and serving as associate pastor.

John speaks for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Christian Business man's Committee, Church of God Lifebuilders, and a member of the speaking faculty of "Man in the Mirror" Ministries located in Orlando, Florida.

Presently John serves as the lead Chaplain for the Burnsville Police/Fire Depts, Administrator of Midwest Chaplains, in addition to facilitating the "Alcoholic Victorious" outreach at LifeChurch.

Youth Pastor Nic Poncin
Youth Pastor Nic Poncin and his wife Hanna have been members of LifeChurch for several years and have served the church in the youth department in the congregation for over two years. College-trained and vocationally employed in architectural design, Nic has earned the exhorter's (ministry) license and is currently excelling in the Church of God Ministerial Internship Program.

The Lord has blessed Pastor Nic and Hanna with three beautiful children (Jessica, Emma and Reuben). The Poncins joyfully and faithfully serve the Lord as a ministry team.

Children's Pastor Teri Berkness
Teri has been working in the field of children's ministry for nearly 30 years and has been on staff at LifeChurch for 14 years. The majority of her early experience with kids' ministry came through volunteer work in everything from nursery to elementary-aged kids-church instruction as she parented her 5 now-adult children.

From her early coursework in Childhood Development to her current pursuit of training in children's worship and prayer, Teri's heart has always been in working with kids to open their hearts to the fullness of God and His love. In January of 1995 Teri was hired as the Christian Education Director at

LifeChurch. She has since completed training in advanced community chaplaincy and domestic abuse chaplaincy in 2006 and 2007. She has continued to receive training in Christian Education at The International House of Prayer located in Kansas City, MO and The International Children's Ministry located in Colorado.

Teri and her husband, Phil, have been married for thirty-two years and have 5 grown children and 6 grandchildren. In her free time, she enjoys cooking with her son-in-law, preparing audio-visual communication presentations, bargain hunting, gardening, and spending time with her beloved family.

Anita Machtemes - Business Administrator
Anita Machtemes is the Financial Administrator of LifeChurch. Anita has been attending LifeChurch for many years and was hired in 1998 as financial administrator for the Church and school. Previous to working at LifeChurch, Anita was employed as a legal assistant at a twin cities law firm.

She has been married to Mike for 28 years, has two grown children and grandmother to a very special little girl named Ella Rose. Anita's spare time is filled with gardening, reading, hiking and of course Ella Rose. LifeChurch is a very important part of her life.

Rena Hall - Principal of LIFEACADEMY
Shortly after she received a Bachelor's degree in Spanish and Chemistry, Rena Hall entered the field of business. After a career in the airline industry that spanned almost 20 years, Mrs. Hall made a prayerful decision to enter the Initial Licensure/Master of Education program at the University of Minnesota. Upon successful completion of the program, she taught in the Bloomington School District for several years. Even as a public school teacher, Mrs. Hall maintained a strong belief in Christian education.

Mrs. Hall was hired as Principal of Life Academy in 2004 and now endeavors to fulfill the philosophy of education that seeks to teach students to learn and develop as intellectuals while increasing in the knowledge and understanding of their Christian faith.

Carol Whitter - Church Office Administrator
Carolyn Whitter is the church office coordinator and pastoral assistant at LifeChurch. After completing training as a Licensed Practical Nurse, she was employed in the nursing field for several years. In 1999, Carolyn began working with her husband at the church office. She has been trained in community chaplaincy and consistently ministers with extraordinary kindness and compassion. Carolyn greatly enjoys and excels in local church ministry.
