LifeChurch Local Missions
Our Local Missions team works hard to provide local ministry opportunities to the entire church.

LifeChurch Local Missions
LifeChurch members at Creekside Community Center

LifeChurch has been and continues to be involved in local Mission outreach to the needy. Whether it is raking leaves for elderly in the community, serving meals to the needy at the local community center, or packaging meals for Feed My Starving Children, our aim is to be a blessing to both body and spirit. God cares for all, and so must we.

Some of our Local Missions include:

Loaves and Fishes Program
Several times a year the Local Mission Team prepares and serves a meal for the Loaves and

fishes program in Bloomington. This hot meal is served to the elderly and the needy. Everyone from teenagers to seniors participates in making and serving these meals and also visiting and ministering to the people.

                        Feed My Starving Children

Feed My Starving Children
Feed My Starving Children is a ministry that ships food to starving children and adults around the world. LifeChurch participates in this ministry by packaging and boxing the food. Each packet of food contains all the nutrients you need for the day. Many children's lives have been saved by this ministry. Members of our church from 3rd graders and up volunteer at this vital ministry.

Pro 14:21 He who despises his neighbor sins, but happy is he who is gracious to the poor.

Pro 19:17 One who is gracious to a poor man lends to the LORD, and He will repay him for his good deed.

Chaplain Support Ministry

LifeChurch has committed to sponsoring a Church of God Chaplain and his military unit, stationed in Iraq.  Our sponsored Chaplain’s name is Chaplain Ismael Serrano.  We have agreed to support him, and the military personnel to whom he ministers, with prayer, letters, and care packages that Chaplain Serrano will distribute as he ministers.  We have sent seven care packages for him to distribute, which included items such as good books, white socks that come above the calf, international phone cards, and air freshener, body wash, energy bars and drink mixes, travel size games, nuts, cookies, candies, and other snack items.

We hope to develop and continue relationships with the soldiers who receive our care packages, acting as the loving “church back home” for those who maybe don’t have one, or just supporting those who do with additional love and prayer.  Special efforts to send many care packages at the holiday times will be emphasized.  Our prayers will make a huge difference in their lives, and our gifts “from home” will brighten their days, help alleviate loneliness  and express our gratitude for their service.

Here is a letter sent by Chaplain Ismael Obed,

Just wanted to let you know that I got the books and I am looking forward to reading them. I believe they will be very beneficial to our troops as they develop a deeper understanding and a closer relationship w/ the Lord. Other supplies that you have sent, I have been distributing to smaller FOBs (Forward Operating Base). I was just thinking about you and how much of a blessing your church has been to us. Please let them know that they impact many lives without even knowing it. God is doing some pretty awesome things here and you and your church are a piece of the puzzle that makes the picture complete. May the Lord continue to bless you as you continue to bless others.

God Bless,
CH Serrano, Ismael Obed
